The Perhentian Islands consists of 2
islands simply named Besar and Kecil, translated as Big and Small.
Located off
the coast of Terengganu, it makes up but two of the many islands that dot the
east coast of Malaysia. Getting there is a cinch from Kuala Besut with an
approximate half hour boat ride from the jetty.
The 2 main things to do at the islands are
diving and snorkeling.
Both are equally exciting as the diversity of marine
life available in the area is astounding.
Schools of yellowback fusiliers , rays, turtles, puffers and gorgeous angelfish are only the
tip of the iceberg when it comes to the variety of species that you can enjoy
while in the water.
the Perhentian Islands is a definite must visit part of
Peninsular Malaysia.
